It’s that time of year again and not only is it the most loved-up date in the diary, but it’s also a leap year, which means one thing – ladies, get your proposal hats on. So with our Valentine’s Day heart on our sleeve, here at Rathbornes we thought we’d tell you about a few of the things we love most in the world.
It’s been a tough choice, so here goes….
Ireland
Our Irish heritage couldn’t be more important to us, and with its sprawling countryside, wonderful people and inspiring history, we’re totally in love. 1488 is a pretty long time ago, but that’s where it all began for Rathbornes, with John Rathborne lighting the streets of Ireland until the invention of electricity, roughly 500 years later. Our Dublin Tea Rose fragrance couldn’t be dreamier – and it has us just longing for the fresh air of the Irish fields that the roses so beautifully spring from.
Travel
In a never ending quest for heat, the idea of crystal clear seas with sand sinking between your toes has meant that the travelling bug has been firmly placed up there in the things we love. Doesn't our White Pepper and Vertivert candle just go so well alongside these tropical delights? And next to those limes some tequila wouldn't go amiss either... 'Ay Carumba!
The Weekend
There just isn’t anything better than waking up on a cold drizzly morning and remembering it’s the weekend. And that couldn’t ring more true for this Valentine’s Day which falls on a perfectly placed Sunday. Keep on your PJs, have brekkie in bed, and light a scented candle while cosied up on the sofa with a good ol’ movie in the background. You could always dip into that book you've been desperate to read as well...
