FLORAL TRENDS THIS SUMMER SEASON... KEEPING IT FUNKY FRESH
Posted on
Having returned triumphant from such a marvellously manic week at the Chelsea Flower Show 2016, we’ve had a chance to reflect on the flourishes of florals that we soaked in.
Our stand looking wonderful in the sun...
Wandering through the displays in the Great Pavilion was utterly awe inspiring… With row upon row of some of the most sensational bursts of colour it was hard to know where to even begin looking. The flushes of orchids, standing tall alongside the clusters of roses displayed a wealth of experience and beauty from the gardeners who had carefully preened their gorgeous flowers to perfection. The headwear of flowers displayed on standalone models were reminiscent of the Red Indian chiefs, but on closer inspection, the intricacy of the woven plants and petals was staggering.
Just a few of the breathtaking displays...
It is little wonder, therefore, that we find ourselves surrounded by such wonderful floral inspiration throughout the interiors and fragrance industries as well. Our very own Dublin Tea Rose, Oud and Patchouli fragrance was a firm favourite throughout the show, with its subtle blend perfectly oozing a sophisticated elegance that comes from the floral undertones.
Studio McGhee have been our inspiration...
Studio McGee are all about modernising the floral interior, and to be honest, we don’t blame them. Pops of colour are all the rage right now, and with florals come both a pop and a bold print that can brighten any room with a touch of distinct individuality. California are loving their botanical prints too, and with this comes an air of LA cool – and who wouldn’t want that to spruce up their homes?! So whether you’re green fingered or not why not unleash your inner florist….
